It's time for our annual Blanket drive. It will be getting cold here soon on Long Island so it's time to
start thinking about making warm items for the babies. I will be collecting warm things from now until December 1 and then again until February 1, 2017.
I did not receive any donations for our Fall delivery so the hospital will be out of everything by December, if they are not already.
Here is a list of what will be needed:
Newborn Blankets
Preemie Blankets
Sweater sets
Hats
Burial Garments
Blankets can be knit, crochet or fleece. Think warm, no holey patterns.
Newborn blankets should be 30"x30" on up.
Here are some pattern links:
Newborn Blankets: Crochet
Dragonfly Blanket (you can change the size by chaining a multiple of 13+5)
Virus Blanket I made this using Caron's Simply Soft and it came out really soft and warm.
Box Shell Afghan
Hugs for Baby Afghan
Twin Stich Afghan
Knit:
Kerry Baby Afghan
Knit Baby Blankets there are a lot of knit blanket patterns here
Sewn:
Flannel Receiving Blanket

Happy New Year!
I just wanted to update the site for what we are working on right now. We are currently in the second half of our Newborn Blanket drive. That will go until February 1st. Please check the previous post for
details.
We are also working on our first complete delivery of 2016. That will go on until March 31st. We will be collecting all items for that delivery. Items include: sweater sets, preemie blankets, newborn blankets and burial garments.
I hope we have a very productive year.
Thank you,
Kelly
